Enduring Understanding

           The pain of the past positively,and negatively affect the choices one individual makes. Experience is knowledge or practical wisdom gained from what one has observed, encountered, or undergone. Experience teaches you either a bad or a good lesson. people adapt to certain things because they learn that some of those “life surprises” can make them mentally stronger,and overcome other life surprises as well. The pain of the past influences the actions a person will take on the future because that’s exactly how the world evolved. People made mistakes then they learned their lesson,or some of them reacted to their actions,but the point is that it’s that I believe that that’s human nature to learn from the past. 

 

         If your past was painful you will try so hard to make it better,and try to be happy. Happiness is the priority in persons life is the” pursuit of happiness.” Well unfortunately we have people who don’t seek what I seek,and don’t feel as I feel. There are those who go by the phrase and eye for an eye,and a tooth for a tooth. They use their pain from the past to seek vengence in the future. Well that’s what actually makes enduring understanding difficult. It all depends on the person,and the type of suffering they expirienced. For example my cusin got arrested for shooting an African American which he really didn’t. This made him develop anger againts African Americans and he promised us that when he came out he would find that one person who put him in jail,and do him as harsh as he did him. Also he said that he hated every African American. I actually realized that he was taking the pain of his past to influence his decicion making in the future.

 

            Thre is indeed people like me that don’t agree with the statement an eye for an eye,and a tooth for a tooth.We take the pain from the past to use it positively in our future. I believe that the pain you experience is only ment to make you stronger. I mean why seek revenge when you will not gain anything  just a darker concious. An eye for an eye only makes the whole world blind,but unfortunately that is not the case at all time because pride,selfishnes,and other evil obsticles exist. For example terrible things have happened to me. I was put at gun point. This young kid had the guts to put a gun in my head,and tell me that he would pull the triger if I didn’t date him. I didn’t use that as an excuse to hate people. I mean it was a painful feeling,but I learned to appreciate life more. This horrible event only made me think about the future with out seeking revenge. I could’ve told my cousins,and they would’ve beat him up,but I realized that I would have a dirty consious and I am a strong believer that lessons only make you stronger.

 

                 The pain that occurs to a person in the past most of the time hunts them for the rest of their lives. I mean you can live with it,but people never forget. To be honest people like me that are strong believers of peace sometimes give up. Sometimes your expiriences are so painful that you are influenced by them in your future,but on a higher level. There are many occasions were it is neccessary to get back at someone,but to make it sound nice to reach justice. My father is one stubborn person. If his life is tough he will be tough on others too. For example my dad didn’t have a nice life like we do. He started working since he was 9 years old. And he would walk 9 hours just to work in construction,and to be able to put at the most a plate of food for his 7 siblings,and his mother. Now that he lives here in America it’s hard for him to see how people have it so easy,and they still act so immature,and act like if their lives are hard. We’re living in 2009 and till this day he has been tough,but I understand that his past was harsh,and he has a reason for his actions till this day.

 

         Some people define the pain of the past as a lesson that influses their present,and it all depends on the message they obsorbed out of that lesson that drives them to do the right or the wrong actions. It is common sense as to what extend to go when you seek revenge,or try to forget about the past and make things not perfect,but better. Enduring and understanding must happen either for the good or for the bad because I believe that that is how the world evolved. Every action that you make in the future is always based on your past expiriences. That’s the beauty of influence.
